About Anuradha Shiv

I am Anuradha Shiv. I am an alumnus of the famed National Institute of Technology Karnataka Surathkal. Post my M Tech in Computer Science, I worked in the technology industry for over 15 years in varied roles - starting from being a Software Engineer to heading a department as their Group Head and Chief Software Engineer. I worked for top-notch companies like BEL, Tyco, Samsung, Sandisk, and ABB in those years.
Now coming to the question, "Why learn job search skills?"
I had served as the hiring manager for large teams when I worked in Samsung and Sandisk. I have been on hiring teams for the most challenging roles in the most exciting projects. And always there was one thing I noticed - the smartest of people do not know how to tell the employers their story. They lack job search skills, storytelling skills, and communication skills. So, to make the best use of one's education, it is not good enough to just have a remarkable score in your undergrad courses, what you need is the know-how of how to make your way out into the job market. So, that is what I am doing with the BIG8 JobSearch Model—helping people build their missing muscle - job search skills.

I have trained over 1300 students and professionals in skills leading to a job. I coach individuals in Job Search Skills, Spoken English Skills, and Communication Skills. As a Certified Career Counsellor and Study Abroad Consultant, I work with college students in drawing up their career plans.
